Green Elementary PTA, staff, and students will honor our veteran guests during our 20th Annual Veterans Day Celebration! On Veterans Day, we proudly thank and honor all who have served in the United States military, whether during wartime or peacetime.
This special event is expected to include:
- A welcome reception
- Flag-raising ceremony
- Veterans parade through the school
- Veteran introductions by our students
- A musical performance by Green Elementary's 6th Grade Choir
Event Information
We look forward to welcoming our veterans to Green Elementary for this special celebration.
Veterans attending in person will be greeted in the Green Elementary Cafeteria on the morning of Wednesday, November 11, at 7:30 a.m. Please enter through the cafeteria entrance and check in at our Welcome Table upon arrival.
Students who are bringing a veteran guest to the parade should first report to their classroom and check in with their teacher before the 7:45 a.m. bell. After checking in, students may join their honored guest in the cafeteria for the program.

Know a Veteran?
Do you have a parent, grandparent, relative, or family friend who has served in the military? We would be honored to recognize them during our annual Veterans Day Parade!
Please complete our veteran registration form [coming soon] so we can include them in this special celebration as we honor those who have served our country.
We are also planning a special Veterans Day Slideshow to honor our veterans. Now is a great time to start gathering photos of the veterans in your family! Information on how and where to submit photographs will be shared soon.
Good news: If you have submitted photos in previous years, there is no need to resubmit them. Those images will automatically be included in this year's slideshow.

Volunteer opportunities may include:
- Event setup and decorating
- Assisting during the parade
- Creating and organizing the Veterans Day slideshow
- Helping with event logistics and coordination
