Tuesday, November 11th at 7:30 AM, Green Elementary PTA, Staff and students will honor Veteran guests during our 19th Annual Veterans Day Celebration! The event includes a welcome reception, flag raising ceremony, Veteran parade through the school, Veteran introductions by our students and a musical program by Green Elementary’s 6th grade choir. On Veterans Day, we thank and honor ALL those who served honorably in the military – in wartime or peacetime.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Please register HERE by Tuesday, November 4th if you have a Veteran who will join us at this year’s event, OR if you have a new Veteran you would like included in our slide show.
- You can upload a photo of your Veteran via the registration site.
- IMPORTANT: If you have submitted the Veteran info/photo in previous years it will automatically be included in the slideshow and therefore does not need to be resubmitted. However, please still register to let us know who will be attending.
- Students, we encourage you to show your USA pride on Veterans Day by wearing red, white and blue!
We will greet our Veterans attending in person in the Green Elementary Cafeteria the morning of Tuesday, November 11th at 7:30 a.m. Please come in the cafeteria door and check in at our Welcome Table. Students bringing their Veteran to the parade must first check in with their teacher before the 7:45 a.m. bell, and then may come to the cafeteria and stay with their honored guest for the program.

Green Clinic Reminder
Hope everyone has had a good start to the year 2025-2026
A couple of clinic reminders for the school year
- Keep your child home if feeling sick, if temperature is 100 of greater, if your child is vomiting of having diarrhea.
- Please write a parent note informing why your child is Absent in Skyward. Doctor’s notes can be emailed to Ms. Corr at christy.corr@allenisd.org or you can send a note with your child once your child returns to school
- Your child has to be fever free, without taking fever reducing medicine, for 24 hours before returning to school.
- Children cannot have medication in their backpacks. All medications need to be signed in the clinic
